When the Covid restrictions started in 2020, like many of us I stayed home. I ended up spending most of the time in my studio. I found in my closet an oversized t-shirt that I had painted a Buddha face on it. This t-shirt became the perfect Covid uniform. A daily reminder to live in the moment and to be grateful for what I had. I wore it day in and day out. A year passed and I saw holes growing in the back, but I still wore it. Finally, a year and a half went by and it fell apart. I could no longer wear it. I felt sad and wondered what to do. I decided to cut out the Buddha face and create a new piece of art with it. It brings me joy to know that I have of transformed the restrictions of the past couple years into something new and beautiful.
